Bonendis Art Center s a new shop in Menetes-Karpathos, located in the main Street
close to the parking Area.
Bonendis Art was created by two Artists: Panayioti Aneziri, famous Sculpture , and Popi Hatzidakis , Art painter with a lot of distinctions in Europe. Together, inspired by the beauty of the island of Karpathos are creating unique Hand made items.

Menetes Village Karpathos
The village of Menetes is located 8 km south west from Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos. It is one of the most attractive villages of the island built amphitheatrically on the slopes of the hill. The best attraction in Menetes is the Church of Kimisi tis Theotokoy ( Assumption of the Virgin ) that stands literally at the edge of the settlement. A road separates the village in two parts where one can see little whitewashed houses with blue shutters and doors. A stroll around the narrow alleys reveals the flowered balconies and colorful yards which create the charming atmopshere of the village. The lush green forests, imposing cliffs and small coves complete the beautiful scenery of Menetes.
You must also visit, the Byzantine Church of Agios Mamas , the Museum of the village with archaeological and folklore collection, with plenty of interesting exhibits from the surrounding area like sculptures, ceramics and icons, Andrianta (a Statue at the end of the village , dedicated to the uprising of people during the Italian occupation).and the Caves (Galaria) which was used during the war, as a hiding place , even a hospital...
Menetes is also the birthplace of many Greek musicians and one of the villages with strong musical tradition.
Accommodations, cosy taverns with excelent traditional dishes and cafes are available in the village of Menetes.
